Mal: How come you didn't turn on me, Jayne? Jayne: Money wasn't good enough. Mal: What happens when it is? Jayne: Well... that'll be an interesting day.

my thoughts exactly.

I sympathize with the whole our culture is disappearing thing, but overpopulation is a huge problem on a global scale - it makes my head hurt this stuff.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I know an appalling number of the writers who put together Atlanta Nights as Jim Mcdonald is a long-time friend of mine from my GEnie days. PublishAmerica is just this side of a scam, because it leads the people who publish with it to believe that it is a legitimate publisher and way to become $ucce$$ful. There are legitimate vanity presses out there who will give someone who wants to self-publish fair terms and a proofread text and a decently-bound product that normal bookstores will actually purchase if there is a market.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Heh.

"Gripping, squeezing, mashing, bashing, this book will give a man cramps and a woman a prostate. It delivers." — Vera Nazarian

Betsy, you can't just coast on ita's goddess. What does your goddess bring to the circle?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In my fantasy world, I am getting a week off and going to a warm island to do nothing but walk and read and eat and sleep.

I did this last year, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. It wasn't even a full week, but it was freaking fabulous, I tell you what.

Oh. Not an orgy with McGruder.

I don't think that McGruder was involved, but I was wondering about the nature of the " 'community reproduction effort' in a local gymnasium." Unfortunately, the newspaper's search engine goes back only three years so we'll never know.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Which island did you go to, again, Jesse?

I need to pick an island for 2005.

If I only had a brain...

My goddess's milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.

I can't spend any money. So, instead, I am looking at 4-5 days with family in March.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My goddess's milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.

Where they stay, as boys can't join the goddess circle....

Maybe they stand in line... or in a square.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

My goddess's milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.

I think that's part of the problem. NO BOYS ALLOWED!
