I haven't watched a SotU since 2000. Don't figure I will again until at least 2009.
Susan - how fast is the horse moving when the Hero grabs it? I'm asking because I would assume that grabbing the woman by the arm would require some movement to work (or at least it did whenever Legolas pulled someone onto his horse)
Not very--a fast walk. The rider isn't planning to pull the woman onto the horse, just grab her and force her to walk/run away from where she is.
I have watched all of them since I was a child, but the last time I nearly threw heavy objects at the television. This and I scared the children by screaming BULLSHIT! Still, I feel like I should.
I'll wait and read the text. I'll be less likely to shoot at the computer if I don't have to look at the smarmy face delivering it.
I can count on Jon Stewart to replay the highlights, right?

He's been my SotU source for ages now.
I am conflicted about the SotU. I'm kind of appalled with myself that I didn't know it was tonight until this morning. I don't want to watch, really, but feel that I Should. As a person who tries to be an informed citizen. Maybe I'll start with In A Fix or something and switch over at the commercial, see how it goes.
I am ignoring the SotU and watching Eddie Izzard in its place. This has the added benefit of keeping me sane whilst I deal with IRS crap.
t not really here
might I suggest Project Runway on Bravo instead of the SotU? catty goodness.

I understand now. I agree about the reins.
I've decided - I'm watching QaF on DVD as my anti-SotU, thumb my nose at the president, evening activity.
I just remembered that I still have the Pompeii special from the Discovery Channel recorded. That sounds like a much more attractive disaster to watch than the SotU.
I don't think my dirty words are bad enough for SOTU.
Yes, Hec, JZ was the good cop.
