Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I am looking and touching and poking to see what of me, is really mine. And what parts are really owned by others.

I think this is the most significant thing many of us do in our lifetimes.

Kristin, it's just that I hardly ever get to post lately, not just with you - at all. Crazy semester, even after it ends.

Also, your link brings me to an error page which says:

You don't have permission to access /users/pix_kristin/31689.html on this server.

Cass, that line read like poetry, of the very honest and looking-inside kind. And then, the last line of your post did, too, for me at least. So I guess it is you and your words. I do hope things will be smoother for you as soon as possible. It looks like you're handling it so well.

Kristin, this one worked! And I love it. And the caption, too. I can't look at it without thinking "she's my size!".

I especially love each and every picture Buffistas posted of the couple of Saturdays I spent with you guys, because I couldn't take any pictures on my own on that day of the week.

Hee! I'm so glad you like it. And I was wearing heels in that picture, so I look a little taller. We both know I am not.

Okay, to work with me. Have a great day!

Nicest thing I have ever been told actually. I am trying to handle this with all of my sort of grace as the alternative.

As I said, "my size!".

Cass, you know those things that if you're worried you're not doing them well, most chances are that you're doing them well? I think, from all the way across the ocean, that attempting to do things with grace (your sort or any other) probably means that you do.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Mornings to people. I have taken mega-ibuprofen and it has helped my sore back but not my headache. Isn't it supposed to work on both?

My happiest wedding dance opportunities have been dancing with middle-aged Colombian men, who salsa with elan and dignity. Although the younger Colombian men can turn cumbia into something quite undignified and great fun.

There were white men at this wedding, including the groom and his brothers, and a small number of the white men could dance just fine, but the groom and his brothers were not in that number. We reduced it down to one-two, one-two, and they still ended up at 3.5.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Philip Glass buys a loaf of bread.

Hee hee! I've read that. It cracked me up, even though as far as I can tell, I really do like Philip Glass.

Nilly, the tag is just part of an IM discussion I had with a very dear friend the other day. She told me that I might want to keep the whole discussion, but especially that thought. So I guess it is mine.

Cass, that's awesome. I thought it had to be a line from a novel, it was so good.

Cass, that line read like poetry, of the very honest and looking-inside kind.

Yes, exactly! It feels very Lorrie Moore-ish to me, but then again, she likes carrots. More the sentiment than the language, though.
