Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Many happy returns of the day, Ann! Hope it's a great day for you.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Anne!

It's still snowing here. At some point I will shower and dress, and maybe even go out. What a concept!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

How are the wedding plans coming along?

As little as possible. Now that we have the basics like time and date squared away, I've decided that the way to stay sane and not get sucked into all the incredible weirdness is to convince myself that it's just a big fun party, but with vows. Because I can pull together a big fun party without huge drama about the table runners and the bridesmaid's earrings not being exactly matching shades of puce.

What is even happening?

Atta girl. I was thinking of you, because I was leafing through the JC Penney catalogue, and there were some very pretty dresses--not bridal attendant dresses, just dresses, and I think they were something like $69.00. I don't even know if you're having anyone stand up with you, but I saw them, and thought if I was getting married now, I'd take a look at them in person.

We did all our planning in four months and on a budget and in a much more relaxed fashion than many weddings, and I hear the thing went off pretty well, though I barely recall the day. I'm convinced that wedding stressing is a totally not-needed thing. Go you!

Things a wedding needs: Bride; Groom; Tasty Cake-like Substance. All else is optional.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Happy Birthday, Empress!

The snow is still coming down west of DC.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The snow is still coming down here, though not as much as a few minutes ago. Looks like we've maybe got a new half an inch since last night.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Happy Birthday, Anne!

Oh dear lord am I tired. Getting up at 8 on a Sunday after being up most of the night is evil. Someone wire me up to the caffeine IV drip, STAT.
