"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Just by hitting "record" when you've caught them on?

No, I TiVo The Alternative on VH-1 classic, and then I cull the videos I like. I'm making a goth video collection for Jilli, but I've also got a mod one for the comic book artist who does Blue Monday (lots of The Jam and English Beat). And I've got a couple for me so I can snap up rare Hoodoo Gurus videos.

Our wings are not tired

I've made progress, I'm now showered and dressed. I should work on food next I think.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Shrift, I think you should read some porn. Or write some.

Theo, I heard TNH get namedropped on NPR this morning -- this interviewee listed Making Light as one of his favorite blogs. Wonder if she's been slashdotted yet.

I just tried to rescue my roses from the ever-encroaching oxalis. Ouch. I have new hair and I figured out how to use my new digital camera (sort of), and now I'm going off to watch a couple hours of Buffy in the city.

Ta, all!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just went to the chiropractor to get tortured, and soon I will be emulating you by working for several hours.

How's the PT? Are you doing that yet?

I kravved, and will maybe even get to the theatre today. We'll see. No use rushing these things.

Shrift, I think you should read some porn. Or write some.

Perhaps I will later today. At the moment, I currently am making Photoshop files my bitch and possibly performing criminal acts in order to do so.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So what's everybody up to this fine Saturday afternoon?

Signing the lease on a new apartment! Whee!

Later we are going to the Birchmere to see John Gorka.

Oh, so jealous! That's my favorite venue. And John Gorka!

Now tagless for your comfort.

So what's everybody up to this fine Saturday afternoon?

I just got back from having high tea with some girlfriends.

I haven't read any good porn.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I spent the afternoon making final revisions to three essays and preparing one of them for submission to English Journal (basically it's a magazine by and for English teachers, which is not remotely as bad or boring as it may sound).

I am now, triumphantly, going to take a shower and check my snail mail to see if Dave got paid, which would be good since the mortgage is coming out of the account on Tuesday regardless.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Signing the lease on a new apartment! Whee!

Ooh! Still in Brooklyn? Bigger?

Still in Brooklyn -- Carroll Gardens rather than Park Slope, which actually is better, because it puts us on the Manhattan-bound side of those two PITA above-ground stops on the F line. 2 bedrooms rather than 1, plus a real living room and giant (by NYC standards) eat-in kitchen. We loves it, our preciousss.

Our move-in date is Feb 15th, but the landlord said she'd probably give us the keys next weekend. Woot!

We're now in the phase where every store we pass is a potential box source.
