So what's everybody up to this fine Saturday afternoon?
I just got back from having high tea with some girlfriends.
I haven't read any good porn.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I spent the afternoon making final revisions to three essays and preparing one of them for submission to English Journal (basically it's a magazine by and for English teachers, which is not remotely as bad or boring as it may sound).
I am now, triumphantly, going to take a shower and check my snail mail to see if Dave got paid, which would be good since the mortgage is coming out of the account on Tuesday regardless.
Signing the lease on a new apartment! Whee!
Ooh! Still in Brooklyn? Bigger?
Ooh! Still in Brooklyn? Bigger?
Still in Brooklyn -- Carroll Gardens rather than Park Slope, which actually is better, because it puts us on the Manhattan-bound side of those two PITA above-ground stops on the F line. 2 bedrooms rather than 1, plus a real living room and giant (by NYC standards) eat-in kitchen. We loves it, our preciousss.
Our move-in date is Feb 15th, but the landlord said she'd probably give us the keys next weekend. Woot!
We're now in the phase where every store we pass is a potential box source.
Sounds great.
Yay for new apartments, and for shrift reading porn (or writing it)
How's the PT? Are you doing that yet?
Not formally, since I need to gather a list of PT people who are in my insurance network and see if Dr. Greg has a working relationship with any of them. The guy who does massages at Dr. Greg's does PT though, so he has been doing some with me, and shown me exercises.
Yay, Kristin! Good luck (it's literary, so that's ok to say, right?)
We saw MM&Aimee&Emma. Now we're being boring at P-C's.
A lively bunch are we. Anybody got any activity suggestions?
Ben's birthday party ended about 30 minutes ago. Hosting 12 third grade boys is exhausting. It's also an interesting social experiment. Nobody was bleeding from the eyes when their folks came to retrieve them, so we win.
Once you get to a certain point in cat stacking, I find that you're fighting yourself more than anybody else, simply because there is no pause, so you can't take a moment to stretch out a cramp, or take a sip of water, or run to the restroom, or anything. And then you start wanting it all to end, and you start "accidentally" letting bad cat stacks happen, and before you know it, you've had a cat stacking catastrophe.
Yes. There needs to be a pause. That's going to serve as the intervention, sooner or later.
Cat stackers are crazy folks, I'm just saying.
I woke up very very late and spent much of the day stacking cats. And the reason I woke up so very late? Because I spent TOO much time stacking cats last night.
My real cats are feeling neglected.
