I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

I've noticed they seemed to completely miss the point blaming the story in Serenity for it's lack of franchiseness is a bit wrong, since not enough people saw it in the first place to know what the story was, Tamara. But I got the phrase 'Pissing in the wind' in, so I'm happy.

Um.

Killing the Firefly thread will be sad as it's what brought me here, and ultimately to Buffy and Angel.

Having said that, the Firefly/Serenity DVD's have migrated to the storage locker.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

O no! storage locker? Yikes.

Firefly is the first thread I felt comfy in. It doesn't move at a ridiculous pace.

In a week and a half, I'll be starting my private marathon of Firefly. Traveling to Florida (from CA), I'll have the whole series ripped to my iPhone. watching on the plane. Watching while avoiding various drunken family members. It's kinda strange. The discs have been sitting on the media shelf for awhile. Once I ripped them, and they didn't require walking across the room, I want to watch them now. Alas, I am saving the joy for the trip. Strange, huh?

Does anyone else feel like we are at the Firefly wake in here? Not wanting to talk too much or too loud, for fear it will cause it's demise.

Very depressing.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I have almost posted a few posts and then changed my mind because they didn't seem important enough to use up one more slot in a thread that might die forever. I wish I could understand why this thread is marked for death but I just don't get why a low volume thread for a cancelled show bothers so many Buffistas so much.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I never got why Firefly bothered some people so much.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I remember thinking, "would Buffy and Angel have gone so far downhill if Tim and Joss weren't stretched so thin?"

And resenting it. Which is totally meta. But there were other reasons to be irritated by it in the beginning that weren't meta.

Maybe it would make more sense to be irritated at Joss and Tim for stretching themselves so thin, than at Firefly, which didn't actually choose to take them away from Buffy and Angel?

I didn't see anything to be irritated at, in Firefly itself. I am, of course, aware that you disagree.

That was a little irritating, too.

Look at you two: Arguing at a time like this. You'll use up all the posts!
