I am also bewildered.

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.
I think it was probably quite easy to miss them at the time of the movie release, what with all the stuff coming out. I sat with a bunch of Firefly fans (who run a Firefly podcast!) and the first time they had heard of them was when they sat to watch the Collectors Edition DVD.
Do you mean there are people who didn't spend all of 2005 obsessively online?

That's the weird thing. I have spent the majority of the past decade obsessively on line. I was swept up in the whole Browncoat thing. OK I didn't earn very many points but I signed up. So weird how bits and pieces of popular culture can fail to apper on my radar.
I knew about them, but never watched them, partly due to spoilerphobia but mostly due to crappy, crappy dialup. But, I should be getting the collector's edition any day now. whoot!!
The funniest thing about the Tam sessions are the references to stuff which we haven't seen yet, and characters we haven't met. Which probably means Joss will do a comic in 10 years to explain.
Aren't all the references explained in Serenity ? Namely, "Pax" and "Dr. Mathias"?
I have a memory of it referencing other test subjects, and directly mentions a few names of them.
I forgot Summer was in 4400.
It looks like Fox are having some kind of licensing/copyright sweep online for Firefly. I don't think it's very wide scale.
