Entrancing is good - it reminds me a little bit of "Restless" - but not so overt. (Because it's not an actual dream.)
Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.
ya, it's on here right now. It's kinda creepy, but I totally love the ending!
ugg, this slowed down theme music is bugging me. I guess it wouldn't be so bad, except that it's on my "sleepy-time" playlist (2nd song), so I hear it every night... unless of course, the mp3 I have is slightly sped up, but I don't think it's that.
Creepy and delicious.
After seeing the Babylon 5 Direct-to-DVD thing, I'm thinking they shouldn't make indiviual character ones for Firefly. It didn't work for B5, at least.
OiS is my favorite Firefly episode, too. Not creepy to me.
The only part creepy for me was the scene with Jubal and Kaylee.
Yes that scene is watch-from-the-hall for me. But it's worth it because he's so terrifying and then by the end of the episode he's not scary at all.
Oh, I think Jubal's hella creepy. In fact, just the sentence "does that seem right to you?" has overtones for me now. But it's not like that's a bad thing.
I think Jubal's gift is the fact that despite his obvious mental issues, he also knows the impact of words, and he uses them to great effect.
He very carefully uses words he believes will control, and to great effect. I don't see him as having any intention nor inclination to rape, but knows the impact of the suggestion.
