"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Someone I work with went to the screening of Death at a Funeral last night here in LA. They went to see Frank Oz speak afterwards, and guess who ELSE was there? Alan Tudyk, who she says was wicked charming and funny. The movie is very much a farce and he has some of the best moments in it. During the Q&A, the first question was "Will there be a sequel to Serenity?" BTW. Tudyk's answer was he hadn't heard anything about one.

He was at the one here too. I found out this past Saturday that a friend of a friend was in school with him up in Plano. My friend was introduced to him and when he was telling me and L got confused when we sucked in major air.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Neil Grayston made a nice mention of Firefly in a Eureka panel video linked over at Boxed Set (spoilery for Eureka), saying that it's the last best example of a show successfully combining comedy, drama, action, science fiction, etc (or something to that effect).

I'll update with an exact timestamp and link.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Theoretical question only: if direct-to-DVD of two 'movies' was made following two different sets of Serenifly characters, would people dig that?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Wash in the Underworld?

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I still want to know why Wash had to die. That was the most crushing blow I've ever felt watching a movie.

still not over it

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Me neither, quester. In fact, in my fandom, Wash lives. Still flying. Can't keep the Wash from me.

If it has Joss and/or Tim and our actual actors, not ringers, then abso-frickin-lutely. I had a stronger word there, but apparently I just can't keep that word even after watching The Wire.

I'd really like to get the Inara backstory, but she's not my favorite to watch. I'd love to watch Jayne, but am not so much interested in his backstory, so I think it must be Book. And Wash should be in it. He and Zoe could have a family. Yes, I think that would be nice.

Zoe and Wash having a family together would be kinda gross, given he's all dead and smelly. Although it could be early Peter Jackson style.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'd kill for the Book backstory.

My heart is broken for Wash but I do feel that his death contributed to the film. I think if he hadn't died I would have been pretty sure everyone would get out OK and everything would get wrapped up neatly. After his death I had no freaking clue what was going to happen.

Yes, yes. I may be just a little bit in denial.
