Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Loved Fresh.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

My biggest movie pet peeve is the one sprinkler head setting them all off.

I can vouch for the fact it doesn't as we had an actual live demonstration in the factory where I work. More than one went off, but only enough to contain the fire, which was highly localized to one set of pallet racking. Until then, I wouldn't have known the difference, either. Now I do.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

only enough to contain the fire

Oyah. Which is why fire sprinklers are good!! (gotta represent for my mom, who designs fire sprinkler systems for a living.)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Yeah I heard that explanation for why there are so many more Italian and Chinese restaurants compared to Irish ones. The Irish brought their women with and they did the cooking.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

People will die of shock: Booster Events are closing their website. They failed to offer any refunds, and the police investigating them say they're not co-operating. They appear to be keeping the business open, doing nothing.

Tamara wins all for spotting (and saying) they are muppets long ago.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

police investigating them say they're not co-operating

Ack. That doesn't sound good. What a mess.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I do have to admit, had I paid money to such a scheme the above notice and the thought of how much trouble failing to cooperate with a police investigation is going to earn the perpetrators down the line would be some small consolation.

Seeing how their customer base didn't actually have the power to throw their asses in jail in response to being stonewalled and lied to, unlike the police. Actually, since the way things shook out may involve mail fraud across state lines, the feds could get involved at some point.

What is even happening?

I had to stop watching the train wreck, after I saw people who'd purchased tickets from BE for Neptune Noir trying to hold out hope it might still come off, somehow.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Tamara wins

I love winning, but I think I was just drafting off of Allyson.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Allyson wins too. I'm not sure what you win. I'll make a badge at some point.

One of the lifetime pass holders is actually a police officer, it turns out.
