You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

The back up bash is back on. The SoCal browncoat group will do the best they can.

And Allyson, if you had a VM and Firefly party I would go. I never had any intention of giving these BE bitches my money.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

The back up bash is back on.

that's good news, at least.

What is even happening?

It looks like, back in October they canceled another event they call a "Nano Event" that was supposed to be for either the weekend before or the weekend after this Flanvention. They were going to book Gina Torres for it. They only sold 35 tickets, and so didn't have enough, but they didn't cop to the problem 'til they were ready to cancel, and fans from the UK had booked flights over for that, too. ** [link] ** It looks like some of them were waiting for Flanvention tickets, and switching their flights.

judging by their website, it looks they cancelled the Backup thing after being told the Con would definitely be on. Ugh.
You can see them cancel it at Whedonesque, too. [link] (it's the comment by lexigeek, on 12/2 who runs Black Market Beagles).

Oh, thank goodness. Those poor fans.

so EMA is dead
Has it died twice?

Hey, how is Maya, anyhow? Is she on LJ or anything?

How much were tickets to this thing?

P-C, I think I read somewhere that they were $75.00. But it's the travel and hotels that kill people.

I have a couple of friends going to Flan and i think one left today from the UK.
Were they Bronzers, tiggy?

**edited because I had the wrong link in, before.

What is even happening?

Here's a web archive of the Booster board, as it all went to hell, this afternoon. It seems to be fans talking. Gah. I want to punch these Booster people now, too. [link]

The thing about life is :You can rehearse it all you want, But nobody else ever sticks to the script. So why bother?

As far as I know from the bronzers helygen and Leish ( Who has flown in from Australia!) are in LA right now. Allyson if you happen to get the chance to punch them, punch them for me, too. Also I second tiggy´s sigh. Too bad we can´t resurrect them. Though I read somewhere that the were plans for a 10th anniversary PBP ... what happend with that?

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I got the book, omnis, but I don't have RPG experience and it's taking me a while to get together folks who do and are interested and have time. A friend looked it over, and thought that the character info was good but it lacked something or other that I don't remember. I can ask for his comments again if you're interested, but I imagine you'll get better answers from others here.
