ye gods I was hungover that day.
YOU were hungover? No. I was hungover. I think we had fun though. Right?
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

A Browncoat is anyone who calls themself a Browncoat. If you don't call yourself one, you ain't one.
Well, that, too.
...There's a club for people who find NF attractive? *shifty eyes* It's easier for me to eliminate my competition if they're all gathered in one place.
I think we had fun though. Right?
that's what I heard :P
*** Announcement ***
I'm re-posting this here (and elsewhere -- sorry if you see it multiple times) from the Sunnydale Press thread (handily linked on the front page, your Message Center, etc.), since I think maybe folks who hang out around here don't necessarily read that thread regularly.
First of all, I really want to thank everyone -- regular posters and lurkers alike! -- who has contributed to the running of this board over the years. However, I need to ask everyone again to consider making a gift to the board. Our funds are running low, and we are the only people who can change that.
If just 10% of registered users gave just $10, we'd have enough money to run for over a year. If you've sent me money recently, THANK YOU. If you've never contributed before, please think about throwing in a couple of bucks.
To give via paypal, send it to donations at buffistas.org. If you want to mail me a check, you can email me for my address.
Thanks, y'all. We can make this work!
I'm trying to get to Nilly's Firefly Review page, but keep on getting error messages.
FYI, I'm still planning to get Nilly's site back up. First I need to track down Gus and get him to update some of the back end code, though.
You can find *some* of the reviews at [link]
Universal (or rather, one of their lawyer firms) are taking legal action against 11th Hour, who produced the marketing posters for Firefly and the Universal licensed Serenity RPG artworks, and long time member of the Firefly fandom (and former WB staffer etc).
They would like about $8000.
Serenity and Firefly have also been blocked from Cafepress.com's search function.
Whilst I fully agree with licensing, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this is a fucking idiotic situation in terms of 11th's case.

Beyond the rest of the nastiness in this whole thing, I'd be seriously pissed at Cafepress and Universal right now if I was a Cafepress vendor with products that have "Firefly" or "Serenity" in their names but which aren't related to the show/movie. Cafepress is trying to do things the lazy way instead of the right way.
Yep, KernelM. They've done it before - try searching for Superman. It's basically a tactic they use to stop copyright holders searching for offending items.
The one thing Cafepress has done really badly, though, is this: they use Google to advertise Firefly tshirts, and have a section on their website dedicated to Firefly fan stuff. It's still up and running. They can't claim they don't know about it, as they index and advertise the stuff.
Hee--a Serenity vs. Star Wars smackdown!!
My favorite bit:
Chewbacca vs. Zoe. If there's a crew member on Serenity that can give Chewie a fight, it's got to be Zoe. Jayne may have the muscle and Jayne may have the guns, but it's going to take a lot more than that to take Chewbacca down, and Zoe's the one that's got the muscle, the guns, and the brain. A good shot, smart, strong, and sneaky when she wants to be, Zoe's the Serenity crew member to truly fear.
Plus, she has better hair.
