Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Juliebird, I was squicked by it, too.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

*rereads Inara/Reaver script to wash the horror from brain*

I stand firmly by the "Operative as Book's proxy" theory, although of course only in general terms.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Aimee went to the same place I did.

Inara/Reaver script

I keep hearing references to this. Can it be found somewhere?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Aimee went to the same place I did.

Oh thank goddess. I was feeling very alone.

brillig

Huh, and I just happened to wander over here with the sudden question, "Does anyone know what Joss intended to do with Book's background," and I saw that link above.

I thought Book's death in the movie was kind of "the hell?" too.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The Inara/Reaver story squicked me a hell of a lot more than the Book theory.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

way more squicky as far as subject matter goes, and I still hate Tim for dropping that tidbit, but not whacked out and all character-assassinatey

or something.

The story-potential I see in the Inara/Reaver idea is dark and disturbing, but still good. The Book thing just leaves me cold and feeling more violated than the reaver thing, and from a story-telling standpoint, nyeh.

I don't think I'm saying it right.

I actually plotted out my own variation of the I/R plot that keeps me in a warm fuzzy angsty place, without the nasty violation. I'll dig out that plot bunny when I get a chance.
