What have you done in the behalf of The 'Verse, lately?
Played kickball with local Browncoats. Then watched Kinky Boots with them. (What the Operative did after Serenity. Hee.) And later recruited a new person to the kickball team.
Also, I thought to myself this morning, "It's Firefly Friday!" I still do that almost every week. Even on days like today, when I'll be watching Netflixed West Wing later.

I'm hosting a Serenity RPG tomorrow. Fourth time in my house.
I...well...I even named our 'ship'.
We call her Tangent.
If you spent any time with us...well, you can guess why.
Last session, a new player named the shuttles Sine and Cosine.
We laughed like drains.
What have you done in the behalf of The 'Verse, lately?
1. Played an FF RPG with a crew that didn't have enough imagination to name the shuttles.
2. Seriously considered jumping ship in favor of being a
Tangent
flyer.
I expounded after a health-food-store employee commented on my Serenity button. He was intrigued and promised to see the movie.
Zenkitty is very pretty. We have all noticed this. It is the ... buttons ... on her.
Yeah, that's the ticket. Buttons.
To interrupt myself ... this [link]
reminds me of a thing I wish
Firefly
had lived long enough to comment on.
The CD/DVD player on my iBook died, so I bought the entire
Firefly
season from iTunes so I could watch it on my iPod on my 56 hour train trip.
Has anyone else seen these? They seem like a few scenes have different editing. They also have the original Fox opening, with the explanation of "whole different solar system / galaxy" and the "previouslies."
Oooh. Previouslies. Alas, I have no iPod. I am truly a luddite.
It makes me sad, the thought that people are sending bux to Apple to refresh their
Firefly
memories.
Don't get me wrong. More
Firefly,
more better. Here are the Q's, though: Does any portion of those bux end up in Joss' or Nathan's account? Is any of this economic activity furthering creativity?
eta: You
can
stop the signal. Charge $1.99 per download.
Post Toasties:
You know, I am just pissed off at Apple. They are doing a billion-per-annum off of downloads. All they do is move content from creator to consumer. A billion-per-year could buy a whole assload of content
origination.
