Why couldn't Giles have shackles like any self-respecting bachelor?

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Madame, what you said to her was "squid", not "good morning".

Hi, guys! Wow, night shift! I lurked a bit ages ago on TT and swooped in here once a couple years back, when I finally began watching Buffy (I was staying in a guest house equipped with a teevee)...

And yes, I read or skillfully skimmed all of the posts in all the threads dealing with the shows. I'm not sure I'll manage old Natter, plus it would be, I fear, a tad too voyeuristic--a stranger dropping in on rambling chat between old friends...

takes quite a bit of dedication

Or maybe, in my-mom-parlance, just plain craxiness. :)

But I'm not kidding, and I know you've been told before--it truly is a pleasure to folllow your debates. Not a chore at all.

Oh--before I forget--I followed up on a movie mention by ita--Fong Sai Yuk--and LOVED it! Whole new interest arising! Thanks!

Sorry for the OT, and good night.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Fong Sai Yuk is a classic.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I was picturing Lola scarfing all the threads in one massive orgy of thread-reading recently and then jumping into the convo. So, I retract the "Welcome" and offer a general purpose, "Howdy, nice to meet you" instead.

move out and draw fire

Oh, I dunno, "welcome" is always nice to hear, and it's how we usually greet de-lurkers. More than one lurker has registered in order to subscribe to threads.

As if my Netflix queue weren't long enough.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Anybody watching the Firefly fandom imploding on itself?

There's loads of great topics at FFF.net, but this one manages to slag off Simon, Tamara, me, and just about everybody.

What seems to have kicking it off is putting out a press release (which ended up with the event going on US TV) for charity screenings of Serenity for Equality Now.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Hey, Jars! How's life? I grew a beard, shaved a beard, added some weight, lost some weight, had a girl, lost a girl, have a girl, laughed a lot, etc etc.

And how is your partner in crime?

And how is Uni?

And and. And!

Jars - Apr 27, 2006 3:28:05 am PDT #8333 of 10001

Ah, well, I have had no beard, I 'm afraid, so my life is nothing in comparison to yours. I have a boy though, who is enabling my fannishness to no small degree.

And how is your partner in crime?

Can I assume you mean le Nibbler? She's good! Has one less organ now, but apparently it's one you don't really need.

Uni is eating my life and my brain at the moment.

How goes working for the Man? He getting you down?

Organless Le Nibbler! Poor Le Nibbler!

The Man is treating me kind, and paying me well. I am The Man's Willing Slave Bitch.
