NOW I get it. I've seen people with 'Joss Whedon is my master now' t-shirts at Serenity screenings. Ahh, closure.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I noticed one of the gay kids from VM was one of the co-stars in that musical. But I thought I was the only buffista to have seen it

Yep, and funnily enough, he was totally gay there too.

So Firefly completed the trifecta, eh?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

We'd been putting it off for weeks, but we finally watched Objects in Space with the guy who'd never seen Firefly--and still hasn't seen Serenity. OMG. OiS just erased all the bad taste Serenity left. I don't think I'll watch the movie when they watch it, though I will watch the extras. I don't think I can take the foreshortening of all the characters--except River and maybe Mal--that the movie sort of had to do. It's my lovely show again, my wonderful set, with the pieced-together props and reused bits of junk, my beautiful ship, and my evocative music. I'm blissed--I hadn't watched OiS in nearly a year, and I'm glad now that I waited. It probably took that long for me to regain some perspective.

Of course we watched all the extras, and then the long version of the gag reel Theodosia sent me, and the Hallelujah vid. I know it's history, and I know it's over and done and we've all moved on. But I don't believe I'll ever love another show the way I loved Firefly.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

long version of the gag reel

Is that different than what's on the DVD?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh hell yes, and it's so much better.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

For clarification, there is a long version of the Firefly gag reel that's much better than the one on the DVDs. AFAIK, there is no long version of the Serenity gag reel.

Is that online somewhere? The one on the DVD was certainly...subdued.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Extended Firefly gagreel: [link]

I had the extended Serenity gagreel, but didn't publish it as, basically, it might have caused trouble. (Yes, Kevin avoids trouble. For once). It's a lot better (and has actual music, so makes sense when Mal dances..), so I hope after a few years somebody sticks it into the public domain.
