Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I watched S2 of Angel in two days. 13 episodes Saturday, 9 Sunday, I think it was.

After 10 days of Angel Season 5 being out I have watched it through 2 full times, one time for just the commentary tracks, and all the extras.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Really? Because while Oz is as harsh as it gets, at a certain point it strained my credibility to the breaking point.

Totally. But one after another after another sort of overwhelmed me.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

There was one weekend when my roommate and I watched the Godfather trilogy and the first 3 Alien movies, alternating between series.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

There was one weekend when my roommate and I watched the Godfather trilogy and the first 3 Alien movies, alternating between series.

When Godfather 3 came out, the local Roxie theater ran GF 1 and 2. So we saw them one a night for the total theatrical immersion experience.

The Castro also ran all three (original, unCGI) Star Wars movies in one night, which I saw.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I managed to see T1 on the big screen for the first time the night before I saw T2. It made T2 even better.

move out and draw fire

Signed,
No. Really. Have you met us?

Heh. Figured.

Now of course I've sucked down the archived Firefly threads and taken them home to read at my leisure...it's a bit frustrating to be reading conversations 2.5 years old, because I keep wanting to post responses or comments. I'm not sure why I'm doing this, other than my basic obsessive tendencies, but I think it's the same reason I came to Buffistas in the first place, and don't like to watch movies alone - I want enjoyment of anything to be shared and social.

Still weird to be living a time-encapsulated slice of the board though.

If it gets too bad, there's always the mega-meara procedure.

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

2 seasons of Twin Peaks + Fire Walk with me in a week. While working full time.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I scarfed down Season 1 of Queer as Folk (US) in a week: 15 episodes over the weekend, and then squeezed in the other seven during the week, after work. Very fun--I like the almost-delirium that sets in after a little while, where all you can think about is "what happens next???"
