Uh, that second link is of questionable safeness for work.

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.
Boston-area-istas, there's a one night showing of SERENITY at the Brattle theater on 11-20-05. From what I understand, the Brattle is on the ropes finance-wise, so any movie you go to see there will help them out (they have to raise X amount by the end of the year or they're done).
Looks like it will also be playing at that second-run in Quincy for another week at least, as well.
This is too cute. A friend of mine (who had my Firefly DVDs for a couple of months) became a grandad last night. His grandaughter's name is Kaylee and he notes "And by the way, believe it or not, I had nothing to do with the name. Kind of amazing."
Just passing along this info.

Netflix just informed me the movie, Serenity, will be released Dec 20th.
Watched Trash, The Message, Heart of Gold and Objects in Space on Sci-fi. I'm sad.
DH's favorite character remains Jayne--he loves Jaynestown and Heart of Gold for their particular Jayney goodness.
I caught Ariel last night. It's one of my favorites. But, yes, it is an odd sort of feeling seeing in on TV.
It's like picking an emotional scab but I can't help it.
I don't know how much of it is the damned theme song, or what. But something just tugs at me.
This will always be one of my biggest tv regrets.
I saw Serenity again last night at the dollar theatre (I am now the biggest nerd ever; I bought two tickets just for me--they were a dollar anyway) and had a thought for discussion. Is River still crazy at the end of the movie? More and more I get the impression that she isn't. Mal calls Miranda the "secret that burned up River Tam's brain." After they see the holo on the rescue ship and River throws up, she tells Simon she's okay, and repeats it very deliberately. It feels like she's telling him--and us--that she's really *okay*, now that she's not the only one (outside Alliance brass) who knows the secret of Miranda.
Thoughts?
I think she is much more normal, yet as Andi (Windsparrow) points out as we discuss this IRL whilst I'm typing, "her brain has still been seriously messed with."
She's okay, as far as it goes, but that's just that she's much more lucid, but that can change.
