Well, then, this is a day I'll feel good to be me.

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

During the first screening I saw, Inara just up and disappeared during the fight with the Reavers as far as I could recall. So I didn't realize it was ever just a plain bow and arrow, which is certainly deadly enough so I don't understand why there was a need to change it into some weird sort of bowgun thingy.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I'm actually glad we only had a kerfuffle. (I think it grew a bit past fuff, although it may still be a kuffle, as no one seems mortally wounded.) I was afraid the thread had been taken over by soap talk again. Or was that Minearverse?

ION, Serenity has left Juneau. I now anxiously await the DVD. I think I may be a fan. Perhaps part of a fandom, although no fic or cons.

Both local theatres I frequent are still showing it, though one has dropped down to only two showings a day.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Minearverse is soaps, crafts, feminism, and pictures of dogs.

Can, worms. (I think Jars put it best to me this evening with 'Shut up, Kev', or words to that effect).

The soap talk was Minearverse. It's burnt into my brain.

The DVD has Mal and Inara's almost kiss restored. And the shippers go wild.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Obviously, I am a shipper because I squeeed when reading this.

What makes a shipper? No, wait. I'm kidding.

Did anybody see the DVD changes to SerenityMovie.com yesterday? It was accidentally transformed to a Skeleton Key DVD website, and quickly changed back.

Ankh-Morpork Watchman, Dreamer, Scooby, Minister of Grace, Still Flyin' in a Zoo2 World

Restored? Or included in the deleted scenes.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Sadly, Serenity has closed in all the indoor theaters in my city, and I really don't want to sit through The Corpse Bride again to see it a sixth time at the drive-in. Though if I can talk Hot Venezualan Guy into a repeat viewing, having an extra 90 minutes to kill in my car beforehand might not be a bad thing...

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Bad language Kev - deleted scenes.

I'd say there's going to be at least two versions of the DVD - the first edition, whilst not lacking in features, still doesn't have near the amount of material shot for features on it. Plus, no cast commentary.
