"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

That's the awesome power of the cabalTHEREISNOCABAL.

But oddly enough, there IS a spoon.

Or SPOOOOOON!!!!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Watch out for the satellite cabal. That way lies the tinfoil beanies.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

San Francisco has cabal cars.

We also have Rice-a-Roni. But we don't talk about that.

The first rule of the SanFranciscoTreat is we don't TALK about the SanFranciscoTreat.

points at tagline

Mind you, tinfoil hats will not save you from the mind-control rays of the Evil Bunny Alliance. Clovis has been looking at upgrade packages for the satelllite network.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

This makes the whole stealing cabal from your neighbor thing much more ominous. Also ooky, when you consider the splitters and other hardware involved.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Looks like I'm going to see Serenity tonight with my friend who borrowed my DVDs. She may kill me for inflicting the pain of losing Book and Wash on her.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I finally saw Serenity the other night. Go me! I went with my dad, who learned about the series through watching the DVDs. He liked the pilot episode well enough to want to watch the second episode with me.

The second ep was what hooked him. His eyes went very, very wide at the bit where Mal kicked the guy in to the engine. I was then told to rewind that scene several times.

I could have seen Serenity when it opened, but my dad was so jazzed about going to see it that I made myself wait until I could go with him.

I was spoiled for what happened to Wash and Book, but they still hurt, and even though I knew that no one else was going to be killed off, the sense of jeopardy was still very, very real.

The thing that probably got the biggest laugh from me was the look that River gave Simon when he asked if he was talking to Miranda.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

She thinks that Zoe and Wash are too improbable a couple

Some people don't get them. That's okay.

Anne, why are posting about Serenity in the Netiquette thread?

Oh. Wait. Sorry, my bad. I was lost for a minute. (But not LOST because, despite DLA, I don't watch the show.)

Jeez, 116 new? I might have thoughts on some of this but I just woke up and haven't had coffee yet. I'm sure, by the time I do, something shinier will have caught my attention and distracted me from them.
