libkitty:

I'm also left-handed, and made this pattern for AnotherAlaskan for Christmas. I used the flat pattern, because my 10.5 circulars are too long, and it came out a little small. I recommend using the larger size. It's so fun to make, though, and I think it went over well as a gift. I need to get more suitably ugly yarn now!

I bought some orange yarn this morning (well, now it's yesterday morning), and I plan on using double-pointeds. I want to get used to using them, anyway - I have plans to make historically accurate stockings - and I'm fairly sure I don't have circular needles that will give me the guage I want.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Someone on another board emailed Universal to find out when the preview for Serenity will be shown. The answer was May 6 attached to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe. (This could be a rumor, but still.) I got the info here [link]

A Few Words From Joss

Zenkitty - Dec 31, 2004 6:16:04 am PST #71 of 10001
Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Joss saying that April really is the cruelest month worries me... after the move to September was announced, "everyone" seemed to be saying that it was a good thing, that it meant the studio wanted to promote it more, blah blah, but I worry that they don't have confidence in it, that they don't think it can stand up to the summer movies. And now we won't even see the trailer until May, so I have five months more to worry about that.

I need Serenity now.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Vatta in the new series (same universe, different location, perhaps? both use ansibles) appear to be struggling to protect one another as best they can.

Making their way....the only way they know how.
And that's just a little bit more then the 'verse will allow.

Serenity of Hazzard

It's the Serenity crew,
Doing what they can do,
Out on the frontier, they'll be smuggling steer or maybe galactic porn.

Pulling a heist,
Stealing some pills.
Someday the 'verse might get 'em, but the law never will.

Makin' their way,
The only way they know how,
That's just a little bit more than the 'verse will allow.

It's the Serenity crew,
They're theives, but they're good,
Fightin' the Alliance like true futuristic Robin Hoods..

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

<imagines Roscoe getting kicked into Serenity's engine>

I just want to say....thank you. Thank you for getting a song stuck in my head that I haven't heard since I was in high school. And that was a long, long time ago.

I s'pose it's better than the Green Day song (which I haven't even heard on the radio in weeks) that's been spinning through my head like a hamster on it's wheel for the past two weeks.
