Oh. Now I remember. Sorta.
Enemy of the People was about a guy who tried to expose the dangers of... something or other... and the town got mad at him? The dangers of the town's hot spring water spa, or something?

Yeah, Tom that's about all I remember from my college course on Ibsen.
I have a car-wreck fascination watching people's reaction to 9/11. Along with Dennis Miller, James Lileks went through a similar, Al-Capp-like, transformation from witty satirist to bitter reactionary.

Whoo! The Chicagoland Browncoats managed a sweep of all the awards we were eligible for this year at Capricon. St. Lucy's Hospital won Best Party, Best Theme Party, Best Alcoholic Drink and Best Non-Alcoholic Drink. [link]
We all had a blast, spread the word about Firefly and Serenity and treated scores of "patients" with the best in Alliance medicines. I'll post pictures when my brain recovers from the long hours in the OR.

Yea! And be careful what pictures you post!
When we did All My Sons in college, people kept asking the box office for tickets to My Three Sons . I'll bet they were surprised.

I though you'd might like to know that coffee just went up my nose.
Enemy of the People is what Jaws is basically a version of, but with a shark. Speilberg's attempt to make The Doll's House with a giant alligator was, however, doomed to failure.
So off the Firefly topic, but. after watching My Three Sons after school for so long, I was blown away by seeing Fred MacMurray in Double Indemnity. I could not believe it was the same man!.

You should see THE APARTMENT some time. A really good Jack Lemmon role, and Fred MacMurray as an unbelivably nasty corporate weasel. It's a very bitter, biting commentary, set (when it was made) during the "gray flannel suit" era.
