See?
No, really, do you see? 'Cuz I lost track of why penguin-having was important.

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

I have a plush penguin, who was made to hawk ice somewhere in the southern USA.
I also have a plush Pink Panther and a ghost beenie baby.
What?
How about those Firefly crewmembers, no penguins there, I betcha ... in a way that wrenches the discussion back to the pre-penguin topic.
I think I need a plush Reaver.
With little velvet peel-away flaps of his victims' skin as accessories?
Or, you know, you could just pay our mortgage, which might be less than two movie tickets and sitter fees.
I can testify that this is true. Although I got to see Serenity for free with the bloggers and DH stayed home with the boy. I'll pay to see it next time I go.
OMG Gus! You just about gave me a heart attack! You really haven't seen Serenity gotten married and a mortgage!
Seriously, though, I just saw it for the 5th time yesterday. I thought that was it until the DVDs, but a friend wants to go this week. If I do end up going again, I'll concentrate really hard on seeing it for you. Perhaps that will be the ticket.
And, I have a penguin in sunglasses and a Hawaiian shirt, but I'm not sure where he is.
Not particularly wishing to open up the Wash death debate once more, however:
Gives a quote from Alan Tudyk on it, suggesting that he thought that Wash would have bought it in the series before too long, had it continued.
Nice. Gina Torres's is right below it, too. (Made me sad for Zoe again)

My secondhand understanding from people who worked with him on the movie was that he never intended to stay on the show long, even if it had continued.
Which I was sort of expecting anyway, because nobody in a series being written my Joss Whedon and Tim Minear gets to stay happy for long. And Wash and Zoe were the happiest happies ever to be happily married in Happystan. That was some serious pain coming from the second we met them as a happily married coulple.
