Gus! Dude, do you ever have time to check your email? I've missed you. And have worried. Before you leave, check When Come Back, please? And, hi. And do, if at all possible, see Serenity in a theater.
Gus? Still here?
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

And today if possible. Right now it is looking to be 12th for the weekend.
Damn. I'm trying to fit in a 6th viewing along with Wallace & Gromit and 9 Songs (which I cannot believe is showing in Memphis!), and I just don't think there's enough time in the day. But, I have seen it once in the past week despite a 72 hour work schedule and spending birthday evening with my parents. That counts twice, right?
I'm finally going for my second viewing. My dad wants to go see it. Being the totally anal retentive person that he is, he's worried that not having watched the series will hurt his understanding of the movie. I told him not, but if he wanted to know more about the secondary characters that don't get a lot of screen time, I'd show him that half hour video that someone linked to earlier. Yeesh. Love my dad, but sometimes....
I tried to talk my brother into going too, because he watched a lot of Firefly with me after I got the DVDs. He can't go this weekend, so I hope it stays around so I can go to my third viewing and he can see it on the big screen.
I regret was that there wasn't time for a Badger cameo, with his fine hat.
If the many-worlds theory is true and all possible states of matter exist in some universe, then I want to move into the universe where Firefly returns to series television or some other episodic form.
Join with me. Concentrate. Breathe. Together we will create that universe out of the void of infinite possibility and move our (possibly illusory) consciousnesses into it.
Perhaps I'm a bit drunk. But I'm enjoying it.
On second viewing I enjoyed the movie as much as the first time. Only this time around I started tearing up the first time Wash said, "I am a leaf in the wind." I nearly (but not quite) covered my eyes for the rest of that scene. When everybody laughed at Wash for saying that after Serenity came to rest and then he got speared I just wanted to scream out, "Joss, you bastard!" I didn't, though. I wiped my eyes and watched the rest of the movie. I caught so much more of the foreshadowing this time around, too. It makes me really appreciate Joss' skill as a writer/director.

Matt, I didn't think much of 9 Songs as a communal experience. On the other hand, I'm not you.
Bev, I have been really craptastic about my email for the last month or so. Also, I confess that there is a CD in my outbox with a sticky-note on it that says "Bev!". It got buried under a bunch of stuff. I am not really sure what is on it.
I am reasonably sure it is not porn.

t ... decides that T!C's DH can put together his own frackin' dates, thank you very much.
Awright, Gus is paying my mortgage! Gus, I don't care what color your blood is, as long as your money is green.
