Here is the thing. Some watchful Brown-coated Buffistas will be startled to discover that I have not yet seen
Serenity.
Even as a dyed-in-the-wool gonzo
Firefly
freakzoid, I have not been able to scrape enough time off my calendar to permit a visit to a physical theatre.
Check it, dude. If you cut me, I will bleed brown.
::is startled::
Is there any hope of you achieving a RL viewing? Or are you going to have to wait for the DVD? Do keep trying to see it. You'll laugh. You may cry. It's good art.
I will bleed brown
Ewwww.
Ewwww.
Yeah, the "Hello to the imagery!" on that was pretty intense.
You know, it just sucks that the "success" of a movie relies so much on opening numbers. Sure, I will be all up in the DVD's. Hell, I'll mail my
paycheck*
to Joss for more of that world.
- ( ... for a month. Wait! Make that an hour. Or so. )
Gus, you can mail
me
a check, and I'll go see it again.
t mails tommyrot a check
Wait! Hold on a fracking second! Tommyrot's two-hour rate billable, versus the price of a DVD...
Check the numbers, dude.
Gus you could mail me a check and dh and I will go see it. Or, you know, you could just pay our mortgage, which might be less than two movie tickets and sitter fees.

Wait. Your blood is
not
just as red as mine?
Time to update the list.
Things I Learned in the 70s
Gus! Dude, do you ever have time to check your email? I've missed you. And have worried. Before you leave, check When Come Back, please? And, hi. And do, if at all possible, see Serenity in a theater.
Gus? Still here?
And today if possible. Right now it is looking to be 12th for the weekend.
Damn. I'm trying to fit in a 6th viewing along with Wallace & Gromit and 9 Songs (which I cannot believe is showing in Memphis!), and I just don't think there's enough time in the day. But, I have seen it once in the past week despite a 72 hour work schedule and spending birthday evening with my parents. That counts twice, right?
I'm finally going for my second viewing. My dad wants to go see it. Being the totally anal retentive person that he is, he's worried that not having watched the series will hurt his understanding of the movie. I told him not, but if he wanted to know more about the secondary characters that don't get a lot of screen time, I'd show him that half hour video that someone linked to earlier. Yeesh. Love my dad, but sometimes....
I tried to talk my brother into going too, because he watched a lot of Firefly with me after I got the DVDs. He can't go this weekend, so I hope it stays around so I can go to my third viewing and he can see it on the big screen.
