You're right. He's evil. But you should see him naked. I mean really!

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

AB and I disagree (sometimes heatedly) over on the OB. I still adore the guy.

He is good people who loves the fans and just happens to have political ideals that differ from mine.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

The "mouthpiece" thing. I retract that.

He is still somewhere to the right of Genghis Khan, but his thoughts are his own.

Hour and a half later:

Sure, talk bad story about a Firefly actor. You could kill a thread, too.

Chris Buchanan is scouring the Internet looking for early reports on the London screening today. If you hear anything I think he would appreciate it being posted in one of the usual locations.

Try posting it at the Official Board, and I doubt it's the thread that will be in danger of being killed...

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I think he's sort of a wingnut, Gus. I'll stand by that.

Not gonna argue with you on that one, Matt. But there are plenty of people over there that keep him honest and make him work real hard at defending his wingnut views. Somehow they all stay civil.

Hell, the man seems to worship Joss, who seems pretty thoroughly blue state to me. As others have said, he'll probably be having some interesting conversations with Peter Coyote on the show soon to be formerly known as THE INSIDE. I get the feeling he's closer to a Clint Eastwood wingnut than a Mel Gibson.

But I've also avoided his postings at the OB, so I could very well be talking out of my ass. Everything I've read about what he's said about his involvement with FIREFLY and the fans has been ridiculously sweet.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

My impression is he is a nice guy whose politics we happen to strongly disagree with. That happens.

"It's got to be the hair, Cotton. It's beautiful! Feathered and lethal. You just don't see it nowadays." Pepper Brooks - Dodgeball

What I get from AB's posts over at the OB is that he's pretty much a 9-11 Republican, and flailing desperately to justify the ideological tectonic shift.

Just my take on the situation, anyway. Kind of like poor, misguided, Dennis Miller, but without the vocabulary. It even happened to me for a few months, I'm embarrassed to acknowledge.
