You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Though S is saying it looked like a silk chiffon, cut on the bias. We'll find out for sure.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ow. The Narrator has hurt me.

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

Death cannot stop love. It can only delay it a while. Unless, y'know, Joss.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Fine. Yes. Two weeks later, and Wash's death still makes me very sad.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Every time I've seen it (after the first time) I feel bad for all the audience members who are seeing it for the first time.

When we kill people it makes the policemen flustered and stern.

We don't see many places listed by name, though we do see Whitefall.
Didn't she shoot him?

Just sayin', that ain't exactly succor and comfort.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Maybe they just passed through looking for leads and Patience's warm hospitality prompted the General Sherman treatment?

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Every time I've seen it (after the first time) I feel bad for all the audience members who are seeing it for the first time.

This weekend, I'm going with some friends who haven't seen it yet. I'm keeping my mouth shut, but it's hard. Another friend who just saw it came up to me after a meeting (with everyone still standing around) and complained about Wash's death. It was all I could do not to yell, NOT EVERYONE HERE HAS SEEN IT YET!

Didn't she shoot him?

Since the screen captioned specified a specific location in Whitefall, I assumed that not the whole moon was attacked. Perhaps Patience died in the hot sun, or was killed by reavers, and whoever survived and took over the organization was REALLY thankful and helpful to our BDH.
