Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Every time I've seen it (after the first time) I feel bad for all the audience members who are seeing it for the first time.

When we kill people it makes the policemen flustered and stern.

We don't see many places listed by name, though we do see Whitefall.
Didn't she shoot him?

Just sayin', that ain't exactly succor and comfort.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Maybe they just passed through looking for leads and Patience's warm hospitality prompted the General Sherman treatment?

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Every time I've seen it (after the first time) I feel bad for all the audience members who are seeing it for the first time.

This weekend, I'm going with some friends who haven't seen it yet. I'm keeping my mouth shut, but it's hard. Another friend who just saw it came up to me after a meeting (with everyone still standing around) and complained about Wash's death. It was all I could do not to yell, NOT EVERYONE HERE HAS SEEN IT YET!

Didn't she shoot him?

Since the screen captioned specified a specific location in Whitefall, I assumed that not the whole moon was attacked. Perhaps Patience died in the hot sun, or was killed by reavers, and whoever survived and took over the organization was REALLY thankful and helpful to our BDH.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Tell me about it. Try having them as houseguests. Thanks goodness Nicole wanted me to spoil her, or else my head might have exploded.

I've been watching the show with my new flatmate for the last few weeks. She'd never heard of it, but is really enjoying it. Even though we haven't got through them all, I couldn't stand it any more and had to bring her to the movie yesterday. We watched Out of Gas and Ariel tonight, and it's such a relief to be able to say "Aw, Wash..." every time he's on screen.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Thanks goodness Nicole wanted me to spoil her, or else my head might have exploded.

And I'm imagining the conversation went something this:

Nicole: You know, the suspense is killing me, and I don't want any nasty surprises, so maybe you should spoi...

Perkins: Washdies.

All I can say about those pictures is...well, it's this giggling snorting noise. I am amazed at people who can keep their composure while taking them. Last time I did posed shots, it was for senior pictures, and the session ran extra long because I kept cracking up. But I'm not a spotlight person.

I'm getting the pig!

Sean makes me sound much more innocent than I am.

The truth is that I read the spoilers long, long ago and remembered that Book died but couldn't recall what the other horrible Big Bad thing was. I probably just blocked it out due to the pain and sadness.

Of course, I was also spoiled for exactly when it was going to happen because I was sitting next to Perkins and she suddenly started watching the movie with her hands in front of her face.

She may have been peeking through her fingers but I'm not positive of that.

Punishingly Intricate

ACK! I suddenly need instructions for making Jayne's cunning hat by like tomorrow and I've misplaced Anne W.'s email address. (Anne made one for Nilly when she visited.)

Can anybody hook (ha ha except it's knitting not crocheting) me up?
