Huh. So it turns out my friend David made The Dress*, and all the other costumes in the movie.
Sweetie, would you please ask him what fabric was used for The Dress? It would make a couple of seamstresses I know very happy.

What The Dress?
I will ask him, though I suspect they will be unhappy with the answer.
Costumes made for film and TV are typically not very good clothes. Partially because they are only assembled as much as needed (leaving inside seams undone, and such that contributes to short clothing lifespans), and partially because the fabrics that look amazing on film are typically not used for normal clothing because they are either too flimsy to stand up to normal use, or nasty sythetic fibers that don't feel good to the skin, and don't breathe well.
What The Dress?
The Dress that Zoe was wearing at the end, for the funeral.
(*I swore someone linked to a picture of it in this thread, but I can't, for the life of me, find it. But you all know the dress I'm talking about...)
I think bon bon linked to it. It's the only time I've seen it. If it wasn't here, it was likely in Natter--and sometime over the last week, when ita was buying her "the dress" for her friends' commitment ceremony.

For a minute, I was all, "There was a character named Zoe in Bram Stoker's Dracula???"
I want a The Dress.
That picture makes me tear up.
Poor Zoe!!!
Did you see the shoes?
How tall do you think she is in those things?
