Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I liked this part:

EOWYN [at the entrance to the Paths of the Dead]: You’ll never come out alive!
ARAGORN: Nonsense! You’re only saying that because no one ever has!
[...]
EOWYN: Bye bye, boys!
MERRY: Have fun storming Minas Tirith!
EOWYN [to MERRY]: Think it will work?
MERRY [to EOWYN]: It would take a miracle!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The evil is this way?

Of course, even if folks are going to see another movie at a multiplex theater, they could still buy tickets to "Serenity" and then just go into the particular theater that is showing the other film. This would boost the Serenity box office.

True, but if I want to see a movie badly enough to pay first run theater prices, I probably want that movie's creators to get the attendence credit. Just because I adore Joss and Serenity doesn't mean I want to do down Tim Burton or the guy behind Wallace and Gromit.

I saw Fantastic Four on a Batman Begins ticket. And I saw Spiceworld on an Amistad ticket. Nothing out there right now teases me that way.

What is even happening?

Isn't that kind of...cheating?

That LotR bit would have fit right in with the Serenity spoof, though. I was trying to remember it, for a minute. If you're still around, Theo, have you a link? Or, I suppose I could go threadsuck for it in LotR. That sounds suspiciously like work, though.

LotR as told by Princess Bride.

It was in the Movies thread.

I did that to send my dollars Christian Bale's way rather than Tom Cruise's this summer, but anything currently out that I want to see in lieu of Serenity should actually get my money for the ticket.
