Get up...get up, you stupid piece of... What did you do that for? What's wrong with you? Didn't you hear a word he said? All of you! You think there's someone just going to drop money on you?! Money they could use?! Well, there ain't people like that. There's just people like me.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The few movies I've seen more than twice in the theater were usually due to friends who wanted to see it with me. (Spiderman and Pirates of the Caribbean) If someone really wanted to Serenity with me again I wouldn't have any problem with it, but there are just so many other movies out there right now that I want to see for the first time that I doubt I'll get to Serenity again before it leaves the theaters.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Between being unemployed and toddler-having, I'm just not in a place to see movies twice these days. I've only seen 3-4 movies in the theater in the last 12 months, and the fact Serenity makes the list says a lot.

(Lest anyone think I'm living in grinding poverty and misery, it's all about choices. We'd see more movies in the theater if we gave up cable and our 16-game plan at the ballpark, I'm sure.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Last night was unplanned. I was having dinner at a Thai place in Evanston, looked at the clock, and thought, "I could just walk over to the theater and see Serenity again...."

If we're really lucky, they'll do it in that order...

I've seen it twice, and plan on seeing it again at the weekend - got a couple of friends up who fancy seeing it, and I would like to see it again. I'm struggling to think of films that I've seen more than once at the cinema - The Matrix managed two, but the second was more of a tagging along with housemates things, rather than "must see it again".

So, three will probably be a record for me. Which probably says a lot more about me than about the films. ;)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I've seen it once, but it's one of two movies I've seen in a theatre since having the baby. So.

Of course, I saw the other one twice, but in my defense, it was Batman Begins.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I don't remember how many times I saw the original Matrix in the theatres. If I had to guess, I would say five. It was a case where a group of us would be sitting around, trying to decide what to do and it would come out that someone in the group hadn't seen it yet, so we would all jump in the car and head to the next showing.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I've seen it four times. I hope to go one or two more times with friends who haven't seen it yet, but I'm not sure if it will work out. If not, I'm happy with four. I don't go to movies in the theater very often. When I do, they're usually especially good, so I often go more than once. I don't know that I've hit four before, though. I think I saw Batman Begins two or three times.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I liked this part:

EOWYN [at the entrance to the Paths of the Dead]: You’ll never come out alive!
ARAGORN: Nonsense! You’re only saying that because no one ever has!
[...]
EOWYN: Bye bye, boys!
MERRY: Have fun storming Minas Tirith!
EOWYN [to MERRY]: Think it will work?
MERRY [to EOWYN]: It would take a miracle!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Pssst! Theo! Wrong thread!

The evil is this way?

Of course, even if folks are going to see another movie at a multiplex theater, they could still buy tickets to "Serenity" and then just go into the particular theater that is showing the other film. This would boost the Serenity box office.
