I'm just trying to tell you that we have nothing in common besides both of us liking your penis.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Heh. Kid-approved!

What is even happening?

I feel like we lost the high moral ground on Variety ads right around GBAE.

And you could have gotten it back, if you'd just done a Give Buffy a Cheeseburger ad, but did you? No.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I don't s'pose there's any chance we'll find that these were mystical deaths? Please?

Heh. Clones maybe? (:

Still, not betrayed.

Nor I.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'm insanely proud of that Variety ad for Firefly, though. I regretted it for some time, but got over that issue pretty recently.

As you should be.

I know. I'm expecting Joss to post any minute now saying, "I killed Wash, and I'd do it again."

"But maybe next time I'll lose the blogger."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How many swayable potential movie viewers read Variety? That's what I don't get about the ad. You want to reach my next door neighbour and convince them to watch it, not poke at industry people.

My guess is, they're not even looking at it from that POV. My guess is they're thinking they'll be able to show "industry people" that there's great support for the movie, completely forgetting any support that doesn't filter money through the box office (etc.) and into Universal's pockets is never going to be seen as support by anyone in the industry.

When we kill people it makes the policemen flustered and stern.

A friend just told me "It's weird when fans name themselves."
"Uh, D, I'm a Buffista."
"I know!" she said. "But that's different somehow!"
"Because we don't have a dress code?"
"That could be it."

Why do I hear NF as ita and GT as the friend?

I don't know. Clearly you're delusional. The part of ita is always played by GT.

Cindy is right. I just read it again swapping the roles and replacing 'D' with 'Sir', works much better that way.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.
