Google News is listing Serenity reviews in its Entertainment section. Since GN is bot driven, it gives you some indication of the popularity of the topic right now.

That link is bad, Eddie.
Details, details... fixed now, thanks.
moonlit and I are just back from seeing
Serenity.
The nearest cinema screening it was Mt Gambier, over the border in Sth Australia. Thank fuck for the time difference b/c without it we would've missed the first 20 minutes but since they're a half-hour behind, we got there with about 5 minutes to spare. :)
It's about a 75 minute drive to Mt Gambier on a narrow, winding, road fraught with the danger of kangaroos bounding in front of the car but it was worth every. damn. hair-raising. minute!
The only criticism I can find is not about the movie but about Joss' direction; he seemed to forget he was filming for the big screen and had a few too many close-ups. What's fine and necessary for the small screen, doesn't necessarily look so good on a cinema screen.

And he was working them too.
eta: Uhh, nostrils, not butt cheeks, or anything.
So you made sure to check if he did, I guess?

Yeah, she really agonizes over that one.
