Never goes smooth. How come it never goes smooth?

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

And why does Jayne's expression look like he's got a wedgie?

So far, I only like the blue poster and the teaser one of Serenity entering atmo.

ETA: And they totally reversed that shot of Zoe. She's got her holster and is holding her gun on the wrong side.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

My guess would be that the shot of Zoe was originally taken from the other direction, and they flipped it around to fit the layout. Pictures can be reused lots of times in the course of a marketing campaign. (For example, the same picture of the cast of Sahara was used in several different poster designs.)

I understand some flipping and manipulating takes place for posters and such, but in this case it's horribly obvious.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Don't you think "horribly" might be overstating it? How many people know who she is, and which hand she shoots with anyway?

I may have to seize the cat.

I really liked her at DragonCon. She seemed very down-to-earth and funny.

Do you think she's more beautiful in person? I really think film doesn't do her justice. Like, she's beautiful on film, but in person it's like - no breathing, I'm too busy thinking about how beautiful she is.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The camera really doesn't do her justice. She's astonishingly beautiful.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I think if you know this, you already know whether or not you are going to see the movie.

She's MUCH prettier in person. Kind of weird for someone in her profession, but I've never quite dug her on the TV show, but she was luminous in person.

Kiba! Was Gina at the premiere? I didn't see her, haven't seen any pics, but I did hear them announce her name before the red carpet.

Hell, you've probably already seen it.

Heh. Fair point. You know whether or not you plan to see it again.

She really was. I wish I had talked to her.

I didn't see her, didn't find any pics of her, heard no one saw her at the afterparty, I read her name in the PR for the premiere but I was actually already seated in the theater before arrivals began, so I have no idea. I also left almost immediately after I talked to you - like, I said hello and goodbye to Kai, made one circle around the afterparty just so I wouldn't regret skipping it, and went home (migraine).

ETA: ...doesn't Zoe shoot primarily right-handed? I always imagine her with a shot gun hoisted up on her right shoulder, anyway. (I asked this before looking at the poster.)

ETA2: I flipped her. Can't decide if it looks more natural this way: [link]
