Another Serenity spot just aired, but I've forgotten what I was watching at the time. Seems like there's a lot of promotion, though.
Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.
Yup. Saw one with House, also. Two in one night! They are really turning up the heat on it. Maybe because they know it's going up against a Roman Polanski movie opening the same weekend.
What Roman Polanski movie?
Oliver Twist, I think.
"Oliver."
ETA: Whoops. Not the musical. The original.
Oh, of course. Not to worry. The general moviegoing audience will be more interested in Serenity than a remake of a book most of them have never heard of, let alone read.

Fox Music is selling a "Firefly original television soundtrack" online: [link]
Looks like it's the real thing, but the early comments I'm seeing on fireflyfans.net and browncoats.serenitymovie.com are not very positive.
Still trying to decide if I want to spend the $10....
Apparently it's incredibly buggy and only works with IE, when it works at all.
Huh. Purchase and download was trouble-free for me using IE 5.5
The zipped file is about 38Mb, and contains 17 .wma tracks. Total runtime is 39:29.
I was very happy to find that one of the tracks is the closing music from "The Message," without the annoying voice-over. But there are three pieces I was hoping for that aren't there: the dance music from "Shindig," the dance music from "Safe," and "The Hero of Canton." That aside, I think it was worth the $10 and the download time, even on dial-up.
Now I just have to remember which program I use to convert .wma to .mp3 so I can transfer the tracks to my CliƩ.
