So, there's a site that says that maybe, if the distributers think it'll be worth it, "Serenity" will start being shown in Israel on the 17th of November. It's a very strong "maybe", though still not definite. But! There's supposed to be a science-fiction convention on the end of October, and it seems nearly definite (as in, appearing on the first draft-y looking web page already) that "Serenity" will be shown there. A (very) limited number of tickets, so I'll have to keep my eyes open, but it seems like a pretty good chance of me finding a way to watch the movie on a big screen, huge nostrils and all. So, how did Wash say in "Our Mrs. Reynolds"? It's a qualified "yay". A partial.

Yay for you Nilly! You're going to love it. (Because you will get to see it, oh yes).
That's great news, Nilly.
Wow, your sure can't tell Summer has any dance background from that poster....
I don't care for that one. It looks... cheesy, is the best word I can think of to describe it.
They were showing TV ads for Serentiy during the Joss-a-thon on Space yesterday. Very exciting!
You're going to love it.
I'm trying not to build too-high expectations. I'm trying to look forward to the movie the way I did to a new episode of "Firefly". Now, granted, I don't remember falling in love so quickly and completely with a tv show before, so these expectations are already quite high themselves. But they're possible to fulfil, they were fulfilled pretty much on each episode, so I think it's a good place to put the bar.
I agree. Poster is rather cheesy. Where's the blue coloration? I've liked that.
Reminds me vaguely of Dune. Is that Inara or Kaylee in the back left? I thought Kaylee at first, but I wouldn't have expected to see her with a gun.
(Yes, yes, I'm sure she ends up killing someone with an exacto knife in the movie and so that's a very ironic comment. I'm just saying.)
