You're going to love it.
I'm trying not to build too-high expectations. I'm trying to look forward to the movie the way I did to a new episode of "Firefly". Now, granted, I don't remember falling in love so quickly and completely with a tv show before, so these expectations are already quite high themselves. But they're possible to fulfil, they were fulfilled pretty much on each episode, so I think it's a good place to put the bar.
I agree. Poster is rather cheesy. Where's the blue coloration? I've liked that.
Reminds me vaguely of Dune. Is that Inara or Kaylee in the back left? I thought Kaylee at first, but I wouldn't have expected to see her with a gun.
(Yes, yes, I'm sure she ends up killing someone with an exacto knife in the movie and so that's a very ironic comment. I'm just saying.)
I prefer that one to the Star Wars looking one.
Is that Inara or Kaylee in the back left?
It seems to me to be Inara (the dark sort-of-curly hair, the exposed shoulders, the long looking-like-a-skirt clothes).
To me it just looks like something you'd see on the cover of a bad sci-fi novel. Don't get me wrong, Summer looks badass and all, but the composition as a whole just bugs.
That totally doesn't work for me, starting from the font and moving on up.
And what is that thing behind Jayne? It looks like some black gook is exploding out of a giant marshmallow.
Oh, and Nilly, you should start an email campaign for the distributor or something....
Sorry, have to say: baaaad poster. Universal should have gotten Kristen and Allyson to work on it.
