Wesley: We're going to bring Angelus in alive. Connor: No we're not. Gunn: I thought you said capturing him wasn't an option. Wesley: Changed my mind. Connor: Change it back.

'Why We Fight'

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Kalshane beat me to the punch about new Serenity stuff. I found it by a different route, but I think we're talking about the same content. The Browncoats web site has a news item which links to

  • this page at Yahoo! Movies which has a link to a slideshow of 13 production stills from Serenity, and

  • this page at AOL's Moviephone which has links to two clips from Serenity. These are extended sequences of bits already seen in the trailers. Clip 1 is 12.3Mb. Clip 2 is 7.3Mb. Runtime for each clip is 52 seconds.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Christ, Gina Torres is a beautiful woman. That orange dress is not good on her, but STILL.

Dayum.

She is stunning. The clothes on all of them are kind of unfortunately, I fear, but they're all gorgeous.

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

I'm seeing less unfortunateness. Jewel in that green thing made my tummy feel funny.

Uh, that's not your tummy.

Hey, he used to be called Mr. Broomstick.

Thrive to spite them

I wanted to pop in and report from Dragoncon (even though I don't normally read this thread). I did the Walk of Fame, which is the autographs there were two lines -- one for the Firefly women (Jewel and Morena) and one for the men (Adam and Ron). Actually Adam was at the same tabel as Mercedes McNab, they are doing (or did I forgot the scheduling) a panel on Evil in Buffy.

But I digress.

Adam Baldwin is donating all of the proceedings from autographs to the Salvation Army. I'm not sure about Jewel, Morena, or ron because I didn't do autographs (Although I did shake Ron's hand and say nice things). There were other people who were donating portions to various relief efforts.

The first Firefly Panel was very cool, I actually ended up in line next to two guys from town, it was weird. The cast was all really funny and wonderful even in the face of truly stupid comments and questions.

Just thought I'd let people know how nice it was.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

That is one gorgeous cast. Gah.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Those shots are just wow. This one is my new wallpaper: [link] (I'm a guy, what can I say?)
