You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Did anyone watch Sean Maher in The Dive from Clausen's Pier?

Yes. He was very pretty. Other than that, I've got nothing.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I thought Simon was repressed but straight.

Maher, on the other hand is gay.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

For some reason this makes me think of a Kids in the Hall sketch. A woman is talking about a guy in her high school: "I thought he was gay, but it turned out he was a genius."

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Going back to what Zenkitty said: having the episode end with that nice familial dinner scene just underscores the whole family thing.

especially when River nicks Jayne's food, I've always loved that little touch

re Simon: I don't think of him as a repressed homo; he's just a brainiac who's clueless about women b/c he spent so much of his time studying that he didn't get a chance to spend any time with girls.

Hey. New board.

I definitely think that's what both the writing and actor were trying to make clear. I'm perfectly willing to accept an argument that he gives off gay vibes, though, whether intentionally or not.

All is well that ends in pizza.

So you're saying Simon could be a Buffista?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

you're saying Simon could be a Buffista?

Repressed and sending off confusing vibes?

Art Crawl!!!

Well, who doesn't have a sibling that they've had to rescue from a secret government research facility and are therefore doomed to care for while on the run for the rest of their days?
