Morena Baccarin, Sean Maher, Gina Torres, Nathan Fillion, Jewel Staite, Summer Glau and Chiwetol Ejiofor will be attending the premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on August 22nd. Joss Whedon and Chris Buchanan will also be there.
Anybody want me to shout stupid question at them?
I'm going to ask if this is the film spin off of Wonderfalls.
Hoopskirts are a hoot to wear. As long as you don't plan to do anything like sit down.
You can sit down in them, so long as you make sure the top hoop is above your butt when you do so. You just need lots of room on either side. Though it's fun watching the folks who haven't figured out to lift the hoops before sitting. "Nice underwear, my lady!"
Showed that to her after The Message so the hat wouldn't be a surprise.
A good thing, too. A man walks down the street in a hat like that, and everyone around knows that his mother loves him. Also that not only does he love his mom, but that he ain't afraid of anything.
ETA: Making threats against Fox execs can't be illegal, can it? I mean, seriously. They aren't from this species.
Just as long as the Men In Black don't see it, right?
Whedon dreamed up Firefly six years ago after reading Michael Shaara's Civil War novel, The Killer Angels.
I did not know this. And it made me tear up a little. I've wished that my dad, a big proponent of the space western, could've seen
Firefly.
I don't know if he would've loved it, but he would have respected it, and I wanted to share it with him. He died in 2001, though. His last 24 hours was spent listening to his wife read him
The Killer Angels,
a book he really liked.
/me raises a glass for Raq's dad.
Mine would have liked Firefly, too.

You can sit down in them
Yep. You can even sit on the ground and lay down in them. See?
Yep. You can even sit on the ground and lay down in them.
And wear Nikes under them to coronations and do the Hustle while only appearing to sway oddly. Hoopskirts are cool.
I just finished reading Serenity comic #2. I miss this show.
Adam Baldwin is going to EIFF now, too. Although there's no URL it yet as it hasn't been announced properly yet.
Also, see Kevin and friends take Serenity to the Birmingham NEC:

I relocate to a certain hotel Sunday night in Edinburgh with everybody for shindiggery and interview fun. I will be returning the following week, probably knackered.
Oh, and I met somebody from Londonshire at the long lead press screening last Wednesday (which, by the way, went down a storm) who I am visiting again next weekend. Flirtation is in the air.
