Thanks DX, much appreciated.

Take your fingers off it, don't you dare touch it, you know it don't belong to you, to you...

Uh...okay...at first glance that looked a little bizarre since I've never watched Wonderfalls in my life. I take it my question led in to it though...oh well.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Remember when Book is telling Mal in OMR that if he uses Saffron he'll go to a special hell reserved for child molesters and people who talk at the theater?

I have a friend, who likes Firefly, and has commented approvingly on this line, who chats through most movies. I don't think this friend even realizes it, despite some not quiet shushes. I don't know how to say "You're annoying everyone" without upsetting.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Poke him/her and say "special hell!" just once. Maybe it'll take.

I don't know why I didn't think about that. Now, if I can just get up the nerve. I'm such a weeny.

Movie synopsis, including link to pretty poster.

libkitty, if you don't cure him of it soon, he may do it while you're watching Serenity.

Eeek! Not that! I'm convinced.

Thanks for the kick in the butt (which I know, virtually, that you're good at and hope never to find out literally), and for the link. It really helps to see progress with the movie, promotion, etc.

Reading the promo brings up something that shocks the mindless fanatic in me: Reading the synopsis of Serenity, Firefly, or any other ME production is no good. So much is dependent not upon what they write about, but rather that they do a good job of it. Frankly, I probably would never have given Firefly a chance were it not a Whedon/Minear show (actually, at that point I was going more on Whedon). Word of mouth might have gotten me otherwise, had I heard any. But the synopsis? Nope. It seems like there should be a way to give people a taste of the feel of a show, of its quality, in print of course, rather than just a brief storyline. There may be examples of this out there, perhaps more in posters, but I can't think of any right now.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

To all ye much more experienced in fandom than I:

Is it considered rude to pimp Firefly and Serenity on another fandom's board if one is asked about it?

Partyman and Allyson, let me know if I am overstepping the line of propriety over on the fuse LB.

Thanks
