I kissed him, and I told him that I loved him. And I killed him.

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Art Crawl!!!

I still love the holographic window. And Serenity's big entrance.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Perhaps I'll go home tonight, watch the DVDs, and pause occasionally to imagine clips from the BDM.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Dang, I messed the Book intro.

As I recall, I was already in love by the time they cut to the first commercial.

The bar window was a hologram! They lost the big war! They fight dirty! The ship is pretty and it doesn't have any guns! Mal's strangled voice calling for backup, and Wash's brazen bluff, and Zoe fighting mean... yep. Love. At first sight.

Oh dear lord, the exposition!

Also? SPACE MONKEYS!

I wonder if the character Niska would have been created if Joss and Tim didn't have to come up with this episode over a weekend and had to create an over-the-top Bad Guy to satisfy the network.

Edit: Firefly's sets are so detailed and interesting.

Considering War Stories, if that's true, Eddie, Niska was worth the painful exposition and terrifyin' space monkeys!

I just noticed that Zoe keeps popping up with the medical info/skills.

Serenity: "Plasma, insulin, whatever they aint got enough of." Train Job: "Degenerative disease of the bone and muscle." Safe: treating Book's injuries

Perhaps she had basic medic training during the war?

It would be a useful skill to have.
