The humor is all there, ita. In spades.
Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

It might be good to establish now--can we talk about the specifics of what's in the trailer, or does that count as a spoiler? I'm not sure if the "I want to be entirely spoiler-free" line that some people have gets drawn before or after trailers.
I personally would be hesitant to discuss what's in the trailer because I've seen the movie and would be afraid of saying too much. Obviously, people that are currently unspoiled wouldn't have that worry.
I did have a point, but I lost it somewhere.
KM, you are the best! *smooch*
Shiny trailer. Love Zoe's leather outfit. Want movie now.
A few items:
in medias res is the traditional literary term, meaning "into the middle of things," though in media res translated as "in the middle of things" is grammatically correct. (Really it's in the middle of THE thing though, it's singular.)
Also? It looks like Tamara and I need another roomie or two for Dragon*Con (featuring Morena Baccarin, Adam Baldwin, Nathan Fillion, Ron Glass, Summer Glau, the not-ever-on-Firefly Mercedes McNab, Jewel Staite, and that Josh Wheaton guy). If you're interested, my profile addy is... um... in my profile. And I check email there. Yeah.
My best friend was worried that Joss had sacrificed his trademark humour to get them all up there
Yeah, no worries about that. Movie funny. Trailer funny, too. Will now watch again.
So shiny!
Finally managed to watch the new trailer, as my internets are taking the piss today.
Is it redundant to say how much I love it? Definitely my favourite so far. It's far more with the funny this time, plus we get a little bit more of the sequences we've been shown.
If someone wants to give me Edinburgh tickets, I've a first-born going begging.

Definitely more with the funny, but I actually wish we didn't get that little bit more. I like trailers for just teasing, and I don't want to be able to glean too much information from a trailer. I don't want it to take away the effect of some of the lines or events while watching the movie itself.
But I'm still loving the trailers because they look so fucking cool that I'd be excited about this movie even if I'd never seen the show. I mean, what's not to love? Funny! Exciting! Explosions!
