Kevin, thanks! I still haven't managed to catch the, or even a, Serenity trailer at the theatre, which saddens me deeply. This managed to lift the gloom, by a little. Okay, by a lot.
And from the article at Sumi's link:
Thanks to massive DVD sales and -- well, let's go with "devoted," because "dangerously obsessive" sounds so negative -- fan interest, Whedon and all the original actors will gleefully return to fly in the big damn movie "Serenity," which is scheduled to be released Sept. 30. This does not generally happen with canceled TV shows
and this:
And remember, every time you support a canceled Fox show, somewhere a network executive loses his wings.
The writer could have been channeling that Whedon guy.
Yeah, I enjoyed the way he wrote (or, I guess Chris could be a she, though I tend to go with he for that name first. Which is weird, because I know more famale Chrises. Anyway.) in addition to what he said. Nice article.
Loved the new trailer. Thanks, Kevin.
Quick, someone send him a Buffista invite.
He has posted in Minearverse before in response to my rage about his story on The Inside.
I remember a rage and someone posting in response, but I don't remember the story. Possible I never read it, given the reaction it inspired. I'm lazy like that. Oh, wait - was it the "Yeah, so, Fox is probably going to cancel it anyway..." one? It probably was.
Of course, now I have to go search. Why? I'm not entirely sure.
Ah. I remember now.
You are so tricksy with the stealth spoiler in the midst of that conversation...
So be it. Though I'm more likely to accidentally claw my own face off in the process.
(er, for The Inside, whitefonted for those who've not had the chance to see it yet)
Yeah. In my net travels, I saw him post a sort of, "didn't I call that?" thing when Tim posted the sad news. And I thought, "make sure to shake it off so you don't dribble into your boxers when you're finished pissing on the grave."
And then I thought, "I'm a tad obsessively overprotective, which isn't really necessary."
I know The Inside is Tim's baby, but I think you are kind of a favorite aunt. Your protectiveness is understandable and appropriate.
And I hate told-you-soers.
