Buffy: You tossed that vamp like he was a... little teeny vamp. Riley: You wanna go again? C'mon. I bet this place is just teeming with aerodynamic vampires.

Where did they get Kaywinnit Lee (Kaylee) from?

I think Freddy Quimby should walk out of here a free hotel

Shindig, I think.

Thanks. And why do they spoil the secret of the "precious but easily traceable salvaged cargo" on the main page? [link]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What? Where? Are you talking about River?

Yeah. I know her character profile is on the main page, but technically what's in the box is supposed to be a mystery, isn't it?

Yes, I agree about that. But the "precious but easily traceable salvaged cargo" is the foodstuff.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Well, they also mention that she's "borderline psychic," which doesn't really come out for a few episodes.

Yeah, that annoyed me too. Or would have, if I hadn't seen the series. So it's a sympathetic annoyment for the new viewers.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I'm still wondering how the writers came up with the name "Kaywinnit". Ideas, anyone?

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

I'd guess from the same place they got "Hoban" and "Inara" (provided none of them are pre-existing names, which any of them easily could be): they did what I've done when writing fictional 'verses and kept a list of good names thought of out of nowhere for later use. I still have my list somewhere, and I'm looking forward to getting to use a few.

Also: Wiki says the show takes place in 2517. Is this canon or did someone just pull the number out of his/her ass and it somehow became accepted?
