Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Please forgive the FF newbie but I have a question:

At the end of "Our Mrs. Reynolds" Mal walks into Inara's shuttle and questions her storyline (avoided Saffron, found Mal, fell and hit her head ). When Inara admits she didn't fall, Mal says "I knew you let her kiss you". Was he being serious or did he figure out that Inara kissed him?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've always figured he was serious....

Yep, so did I.

And I loved that bit.

Does he even have a clue that Inara likes/loves him? Sometimes it seems like it by his gestures and looks towards her but other times he seems oblivious.

I don't think Mal's a nice enough guy to have let Inara away with it if he had figured it out. He'd have probably brought it up at every opportunity just to watch her squirm.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

No, I'm pretty sure he didn't figure it out. I always laugh out loud at that scene.

I've been noticing new things every time I rewatch episodes. A glance here, a gesture there. It's made watching them irresistable.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I figured him to be serious, because he seemed so gleeful.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Hah! I totally hooked one of my editors on FF. She handed the dvds back (with notable reluctance) today, and asked when the movie would be out.

I got my new EW yesterday and they mentioned Serenity. I saw that and cheered! I should start an official countdown.
