Dude, that'd be totally tacky. Plus what of the Leitso? And the ability to buy the DVD with commentary?
We could have them watch the existing DVDs with us and give commentary on them. Naked commentary.
'Help'
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Better'n better...
Reeeally?? I live in San Diego, it's not going to take a lot of pre-planning to go.
A little preplanning will make the Comic Con experience much more pleasant, Cass. Examples: if you want garage parking at the convention center, be very, very early; if you want autographs, be aware of advance signups--and that there'll probably be long lines for those; if you want non-convention center food and drink, bring it with you and keep it in your car (see garage parking above) because going to even the closest restaurants will lose you valuable convention time--where a trip to your car can be used to offload swag.

(includes Sean Maher pics - yes, he is wee)
photos from the Serenity Preview ScreeningThanks, JSw! (Hi there. I am too behind to get to other threads tonight, so Ima say hi here.) I like the shot of you and Sean. Very handsome the both of you are.

I read that as 1. take a cab (it's maybe $10, cheaper than parking likely and much easier), 2. be prepared to wait amongst many other people and 3. bring bottled water. All are very useful things to know.
Where does one find out about sessions and such? The Web site pretty much tried to tell that it would be awesome and amazing. And then they told me what happened last year. Which is all well and good, but I wouldn't mind finding out some of what is happening this year as well.
Serenity is apparently going to be PG-13. They just posted the rating on the movie home page. [link]
Seems reasonable to me.
Nice pics JSw. cute smile on you, Northern Boy
I've just been trolling the Dragon*Con pages, dreaming and scheming.
Turns out I have a place to stay in Decatur...not too far outside Atlanta. Staying in the convention hotel would be more convenient, natch, but hey...free accommodation with a friend I won't get to see much this summer.
I'm going strictly for the Fireflyness, but I have to say the Buffy track looks like a lot of fun.
I'm getting the girl scoutiness required to brave the Con and I'm expecting to get no sleep. This being my first and all.
My question is about volunteering. I don't need the discount, but I'm wondering if being 'on staff' might be a good way to ease myself into the con experience, learn my way around, meet people, etc.
Anyone ever done it? Cautionary tales?

Where did those character cutouts come from? They're pretty good likenesses for cartoon characters.
I already said it in lj, but -- looks like so much fun! I adore all the Jayne hats. JsW and SM are looking fab.
