Hey, we're not all bad.
There are even some raving liberals floating about, although you have to look hard, because we tend to hide out of fear self-preservation.
Also, cities and university towns in the South are much less Dukes-of-Hazzard-y than the more rural areas.
You know, I just saw today that there was a TV show in development called "Revved" by the guy who wrote Sorority Boys about a couple of brothers in NC NASCAR country working out of a chop shop and fighting corruption... funny how that didn't make it to pilot.
I think I worked where this was set. No really.
My co-worker (who is really into shows like "Judging Amy" and "Touched by an Angel") would be the last person I would imagine getting into Firefly, but when I told her about getting tickets for Serenity, she expressed an interest in the DVDs. I'm loaning her the first disc, just to see what she thinks of it. She was a fan of Doctor Who back in the day (another big surprise for me!), so I might be getting another toaster!

I gotta say, I would've gone with "need to have a crazy, skinny brunette," but maybe that's just me...
