I am close to a Metra station. Last train home leaves Chicago at 12:35 and arrives here at 2am. Between trying to make from the theatre to the station in 30 minutes and getting home over half an hour later than I managed with my car (and this was after giving a friend who lives in the city a ride home) I think the train probably would have been more trouble than it's worth in this case. I don't know.
'Never Leave Me'
Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.
Oh yeah - if it's that late at night, driving would be faster.
I agree -- it's a 10 pm showing. I don't think you would want to count on making that last train.
Now, if it were earlier in the evening -- that's a different story.
I parked in the garage at the theatre for the Chicago screening and it cost me $26.
This is why I just risk parking tickets on the sidestreets over by DePaul University in Chicago. I figure they can't be that much more expensive than parking costs are. (Though apparently a student took exception either to my parking space or happy face antenna cap and bent my radio antenna last time I was there...)
Damn them and their three covers, though....
I'm considering buying all of them for collector's sake.
That's exactly my point--I'll do it, but my grad student budget will whimper about it. And I'll have to think of a better justification to myself for owning three copies of the same thing. it's a thing.
Kiba. Write to him and tell him to mail you the damned DVD.
Hm. I could try that. I have never done it before. (If I'm going to start asking for presents, I really want the him-and-Kai demo of "I'll Never Tell." Which someone almost stole from the ME office for me, but then didn't.)
We ran F:IA and all we got was...well, we didn't even get a lousy t-shirt.
But Tim loves us.
Lilty, I'm going to the second Boston showing, I'm sure we can get you back to your car if you were to park at some place like the Alewife T station (which is conveniently at the "end" of Route 2 in a "you can't miss it" place). The first time, the movie got out with sufficient time so that we only dawdled a bit and still had a comfortable amount of time to get to the T before it ran the last time. Plus then, we had time to talk excitedly about the movie on the T, so bonus.
But, there will be a TPB with all the covers, right?
Kaylee doesn't look like Jewel at all. I mean, I can tell who it is based on the outfit and the expression, but it doesn't look like the artist even tried to make it look like her.
